Come on Cirruslvr. You are the one who posted the Athlon SPECFP2000 scores using the Compaq compiler and you've seen the CuMine scores using the Intel Compiler. Cut the nonsense.

"Show me where Athlon optimized code runs faster on an Athlon than CuMine optimized code does on a CuMine."

"I don't know any of either. Maybe JC could help us out."

This is pretty easy.

Take comparable P-III-866:
spec.org
and compare it with K7-850:
spec.org
V--run time
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
145.fpppp 9600 193 49.8 9600 193 49.8 - P-iii-866
145.fpppp 9600 96.7 99.3 9600 -- -- - K7-850
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
199.5%

The difference in remaining benchmarks is solely due to
differences in FSB+memory latencies, plus some known
K7 cache disadvantages.
