paul ma perhaps you misunderstood. Alow me to explain.

You are correct, Athlon is not a superior architecture and you are correct that the reason is not because it runs slower that CuMine with unoptimized software but because it runs slower[or at least no faster] than CuMine with optimized software. Please note that both processors run optimized code faster than unoptimized code. The future will use optimized software not unoptimized software so should we look toward the future or toward the past?
