Re: "Notice the SYNERGY between TTURD and ATHWiper"

I hadn't thought of it before but now that you mention it... there is a kind of ironic poetic harmony....

Paul,

Based purely on the volume of AMD posts by you and Elmer, I'm guessing that AMD stock will have a very good week!

Paul - RE: "I guess we're in for some more jacked-up voltages on the AthWiper !"

Doing that sure is MUCH easier and faster than coming out with a new stepping which requires a new ramp, and then a few months later coming out with ANOTHER stepping, that happens to also jack up the voltage even though the processor is 14% smaller, which requires a brand new ramp AGAIN. Oh, and did I mention these TWO new ramps are necessary in a capacity constrained enviroment?

AMD just ups the voltage and BAM! they get faster processors.

Paul,

1.13 GHz Coppermine due for release in a few weeks - WITH ALUMINUM METALLIZATION - AMD is on the defensive.

AMD has been on the defensive since Piii 1 GHz announcement - about that chip being "Due for release"
