James,

>>Maybe I'm looking at a fad. That's clearly the risk here. But if its a fad, it is a fad that is still going very strong.<<

Good luck with this one. I think the Fad issue is a problem with all these types. Look at TOM. Perhaps they were in an even riskier area of fashion (urban), but this stuff can turn on a dime. The whole group looks depressed to me. Perhaps a group purchase makes sense for a guy like my. You know - 41 and without a clue.

Jim,

No comment on ANF, but yes Dave Matthews and his band are incredible. His songwriting is some of the most original I've heard - a breath of fresh air. On VH1 he did a "storytellers" episode in the "unplugged" format that you might want to watch for.

James,

There are rumors flying that IBC might get taken over by a Mexican baker named Bimbo. RAL has a huge stake. Just thought I'd let you know. No clue as to the merit of the rumors. I own shares of IBC, so naturally I am hopeful.

James,

The story on IBC is that a Mexican newspaper reported that Groupo Bimbo is looking at IBC, Flowers, Earthgrains, and the baking subsidiary of Bestfoods for a possible acquisition. The story "hinted" that IBC was the leading candidate and that a decision on whether to make an offer or not would be coming in the next couple of months. IBC denied that they had reached an agreement with Bimbo. Apparently, there was another report somewhere that it was a done deal. That was false. Stock halted on heavy action and then tanked on the denial. Personally, I like it. It's cheap and there's at least some truth to the story.

James, so far I have dodged the bullet big time on two stocks, LHSP, and ELON, and I have taken profits before they turned into a loss in RMBS.
I OWE THIS TO THE SKEPTICISM YOU AND TWISTER HAMMERED IN TO ME; OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE BEEN HURT BAD.
MANY THANKS.
PS. PWER reports crucial earnings on the 27th. It has continued to soar; I want to see now how solid a company this "Cisco of the power suppliers" is.
PPS. My new purchase is Gemstar/TV Guide, it may have a license to print money, a toll gate, even better than RMBS.
Any thoughts?
