As the products of complete combustion of a hydrocarbon are carbon dioxide and water, there would have to be an increase in the concentration of exhaust gas CO2 as the CO is eliminated. Also, oxygen in the exhaust gas has increased is spite of there being more complete combustion. These purported results appear to be contradictory. What am I missing here?
