IMHO to have politicians whom I admit I have little faith in their average intelligence or ability to even comprehend these subjects, get involved in Science would be an UNMITIGATED DISASTER.

JDN, you've got to be jesting. You don't think politicians are involved in science??? Who do you think funds almost all the science that goes on at universities and most of the science that happens in industry? If you don't think so, ask your friendly neighborhood scientist. I think you need to re-examine your stance on that subject...to bring it more in line with reality.<g>

And BUSH doesn't even *HAVE* average intelligence! --- JDN- You'll be pleased to know that I've decided not to vote for this smarmy Gore slimeball, but am neither voting for the dummy Bush slimeball. I've decided to whole-heartedly go Green and vote Nader along with my local tribe of luddites. I'm now a Nader supporter. -JCJ
