Yes John,

HOCKEY STICK GROWTH is a term MZ has used repeated. When you slam that puck it goes flying. That is where WSTL now finds itself. The world may now NEED WSTL even more than WSTL needs them.

It is clear that with the new, non-computer, net appliances beginning to proliferate -- like the IOpener, Oracle's new NIC, Alcatel's webphones, and Sunw's Sunray type interfaces and architecture, -- everyone, not just the computer cognoscenti, will be able to enter the internet revolution. We are entering a new growth phase for the internet.

Such potential ubiquity will bring an avalanche of new business opportunities. The phone companies and ISPs will be tripping over eachother to host application service providers (ASPs) through their networks. This will be the new model for "phone" service. Local and Long distance charges based on time and distance will be relegated the same cherished place in history as slide rules.

These ASPs NEED DSL; the LECs NEED DSL and its derivatives like VoDSL and video over DSL. A whole industry is just now in its infancy waiting for the "bottleneck" to be opened up.

All the best,
Michael

P.S. I see there is some speculation on the Yahoo WSTL board that WSTL's unusual morning CC may be an attention getter following a spectacular earnings call to announce the casting off of CPI as a new company. While it's just idle speculation and perhaps too early, I can entertain the fantasy and imagine A.G. dropping a brick -- of gold one, of course. I would'nt be surprised, however, if we get some contract or partnership announcements.
