It is really sad that CSFB had to sink to such a low level. The post from the gentleman you linked was in good taste and well written. "Goof" and "loser" are slang adjectives in my opinion that get an opinion across. Really damaging ones reputation would be using the words "thief", "liar", "crook" and various other words that would tend to call a person a type that breaks the law. The defamed person would then have a point with libel in the event he or she can prove they are any of those terms that imply dishonesty. Goof and loser is not very negative. I at times may act "goofy" while at work or at home and someone calling me a goof probably could be a term of endearment5 too. Loser can imply a million issues. We talking monetary loser, loss of credibility, one with bad luck? I lost money in Vegas at the MGM Grand about a month ago and shorting Amazon some time back. I am a loser too;-) I sure wish that original thread was open so we could read everything in context. I bought some share of BNBN as a lark when it was 16. At that time, Blodgett I believe had a buy, buy (1,1) on it. Currently he has an accumulate and buy on it (2,1). I lost more than half my investment. I should sue Blodgett and Merril for my losses since it hurts the capital I can place in my business, makes me look bad as an investor to the people that are suppose to respect me, etc?? Oh well CSFB is a "goof" in my opinion based on what I can read thus far. Without further information on this issue, I would never open an account with them. If they had not brought this lawsuit, I would not even know about the firm or the posters in question. Good thinking on their part;-) I would call this a losing proposition so far based on the publicity it has received. Glenn
