Strongs's # for Away is also 646 apostasia (ap-os-tas-ee'-ah); feminine of the same as 647; defection from truth (properly, the state) ["apostasy"]: KJV-- falling away, forsake. And within that same sentence, the greek makes it abundantly clear that falling away and son of perdition are structurally related. Strong's # for perdition is 684 684 apoleia (ap-o'-li-a); from a presumed derivative of 622; ruin or loss (physical, spiritual or eternal): KJV-- damnable (-nation), destruction, die, perdition, X perish, pernicious ways, waste. Apoleia is another name for God's fierest enemy, satan! Strongs # 623 623 Apolluon (ap-ol-loo'-ohn); active participle of 622; destroyer (i.e. Satan): KJV-- Apollyon. Sidney, that son of perdition has not yet been revealed yet here on earth. But when he comes disguised as Christ...(2 Thess. 2:4, Also 2 Cor. 11:14, The word Transformed, #3345 Strongs = disguised.)... sitting in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God...( This is what will cause the great falling away)...then to all of those who know and understand the order of things to come...he will be revealed!! That scripture is talking about the church, not the world in general. There has to be a separation of God's chosen people from the church goers who don't know Him and are not His, but they look like they are. They are the chaff, that will be separated.
