Hi all; I really should read these posts more carefully before the 15 minutes adjustment period goes by. Of course I meant "to" where I wrote "too".

Carl,

Sorry, I'll be clearer.

When you reposted message #43555, you left off the last line...

This is 14 chipsets, up quite a bit from my previous count.

This was building on a point you were making that more and more DDR chipsets were going to be coming out. Well, now some are being cancelled and delayed and suddenly your tone is that we had "way too many" chipsets scheduled, and that you "expect that more chips are going to continue to drop out of competition"

This is what doesn't sound like what you were saying before. It sounds to me like you're rationalizing now.

Dave

Re: Micron stepping back out of DDR chipset business...

Remember, Micron licensed the Samurai design to Via, which I assume is the core of Via's new DDR chip sets. Maybe Micron get's a royalty fee?
