We're running NT at work. It's pathetic for engineering applications like PATRAN. I think we'll convince management to run Linux on a couple of boxes. (Please let us use the vi editor and "grep" commands.)

If you want to run vi and grep on NT, there's nothing stopping you. Unix utilites such as vi and grep are available in a multitude of free and for-fee versions.
