pauL,

you have every right to be upset with iNteL, but at least you did the right thing and invested in Jerry Sanders.

Good move.

<Gateway has suffered lower sales to the BUSINESS SEGMENT for the two quarters since they sleazed out on Intel - do you SEE A CORRELATION HERE ?>

Sure. I certainly do see the correlation. I totally
agree with you: Gateway is losing in business
segment because of Intel practice that can be
identified as "selective shortage". Others, more
loyal companies, got advantage of better supply of
CPUs from Intel, and therefore gain in market share.
Thank you very much for your insights.

re: "Gateway's Weitzen is a sleazebag and GATEWAY is losing market share in the business segment"

Note: Gateway's business sales declined 10 percent...

06/29/00: Unisys Revenue is expected to come in around $1.62-to-$1.65 billion, which would be 13-to-15 percent below the year-earlier period. The company blamed the shortfall on the deferral to later this year of several large technology contracts and continued weakness in its Federal government and financial services business.

07/11/00: Silicon Graphics said it now expects fourth-quarter sales of between $525 million to $535 million in the quarter, down from the $563.7 million it recorded in the third quarter.

Is Mr. Weinbach or Bishop a sleazebag too? Yeah right, Intel is untouchable in your mind! I sure hope I won't see that day or the consumers will be screwed again.

Paulie, it's post-Y2K syndrome, heard all the software companies got crushed?
