Astro - I think you missed some of the earlier posts. The Ultra runs Solaris. There is a Linux box right next to the windows machine that the kids use - they have shown little interest in it. I don't want to push them towards computers - they already get more exposure to technology than they really need. By the way, as far as bilingual, my wife speaks 7 languages, and my daughter has decent fluency in 3 and is picking up a 4th... young children seem to pick up language like a sponge picks up water.
