I'd love to get my hands on a good architectural diagram of a 3G cell phone which depicted all the digital and analog components required to make it work. It would come in mighty handy to understand where QCOM needs to go to extend their architecture and what competitors might be in a position to horn into their space. Has anyone seen such an animal?

From today's press release:

"Through very fast shared memory, the MSP1000 chipset interfaces with QCT's family of MSM chipsets for
multimedia applications and third-generation (3G)1x Evolution (1xEV) (based on High Data Rate) services. By
simply selecting a different MSM chipset from QCT's pin-compatible MSM roadmap, manufacturers can develop a
variety of platforms with distinct feature sets, all from a single system design."

This means that PDA manufacturers can develop applications and plug into ANY current and FUTURE MSM! This
flexible architecture is HUGE and will revolutionise computing as we know it.

Bye-bye WIntel... hello poQCet PC!
