I think that attacking Solon for expressing his opinion goes towards proving his point. I haven't seen anything indicating Solon is "bitter" towards God. Many people (such as yours truly) are irreverent towards most of the world's religions and the members of those religions .. but that doesn't mean they are irreverent towards God.

Chris, Yes, I am afraid of your God, because indeed I did gather sticks for a fire. (Can you imagine the premeditated scheming of the man gathering sticks? Do you think his effrontery was deliberate, or was he unworthy by virtue of being so obtuse? Anyhow, just desserts--THE BASTARD.)
