LindyBill, thx for your response. As it turned out, i didn't quite have the guts to pull the trigger to purchase sdli for trading purposes. Did exactly what you suggested.(esp?) I am feeling pretty smug(which is when one gets shot down, rt.?)about selling all of my jdsu( by far my largest long term holding)and purchasing sdli...i bought more than the equivalent jdsu. Your point is well taken about selling half and getting back into jdsu after the dust settles..Hadn't thought of that...thanks for you expertise and support...diane
