Diamond: I am not going to post the numerous press releases over the last 2+ years from all the main vendors concerning this. However, if you really want to find out then i can only suggest going to the following home pages of Nokia, Ericsson, Motorola, Lucent and Nortel and do search through their respective press releases concerning WCDMA.

Live test in wideband were undertaken well before anything by Qualcomm (as cdma2000). My first experience of using WCDMA was over 2 years ago (Ericsson in Kista, Stockholm) and last October between WCDMA and cdma2000 connections with Lucent.

Sorry for not being more specific with releases, as to many this is fast becoming "old hat" stuff.
