He was good at seizing power, just like FDR and his fellow Democrats were/are. That one sided depiction is not surprising, considering the source. "Gangster-like" bodyguards? LOL. The man needed bodyguards, as his assassination verified. As for Dr. Weiss being the lone assassin, there is strong evidence that he did not kill Huey Long. The book "The Day Huey Long Was Shot" by David Zinman pretty much exculpates Weiss. The author's conclusion is a bodyguard probably killed him accidentally, but on that he is not certain.
