Mark,

I got it bad, BAD. My father (who is/was a very sick man) had a sports equipment room when I was a kid. He was a semi-pro tennis player and used to get stuff free. This was the start of his problem. Doctors have now discovered that it is genetic.

I have not hit the Trigold yet, but I am pretty loyal to the DG. I really like how they kick on the longer clubs. I can't tell too much difference on the mid irons, and none at all on the short irons...but those long clubs really snap with the DG.

I Hate the shafts that Armour put on the standard 845. I have hit both the stiff and the regular and they just feel so dead to me. To each his own as two of my friends play them and really like them.

The V-25 is just a great club. I did like the look at address of the Apex Plus a bit more, but the proof for me was the ball flight. I never hit my 4 iron 210 before, but I have discovered that the long irons are longer with this club, while the short and mid are just like my Pings. Very strange and I cannot explain it as the lofts on each set are pretty similar. One thing they are not is forgiving. I don't care what the ads say for this one, but forgiveness is not one of the strengths. You hit it on the toe, but still square and you are lucky to get 75% of the distance. But when you hit it sweet it just pops. They are easy to draw and I am actually starting to learn a little fade with the long irons. Still can't fade a short or mid iron to save my life, but I am working on it.

Another club I have had some fun hitting is my buddies Adams Titanium Spin Control driver. He has the model with the closed clubface to help prevent a slice. Its not very long as I will take the full range swing and only get about 260-270 out of it, but it has a really nice ball flight, and it is so easy to control. I will stick with the 975, but I could see this club really helping someone who has a slice and not the time to correct it.

Try em, and get a fix.
