Globecomm's NetSat Express Unit To Build Network For
Exus

New York-based Exus Networks Inc. [EXUS] has signed a three-year, $7
million contract with NetSat Express, a subsidiary of Globecomm Systems
Inc. [GCOM], for satellite network equipment and services.

Exus, a supplier of Inmarsat service, terminals and licensing services, said
yesterday that NetSat and Globecomm would provide engineering, network
equipment, service, monitoring and maintenance for its system, which will use
the Telstar 10 satellite operated by the Loral Skynet unit of Loral Space and
Communications [LOR].

The satellite known as Telstar 10 is owned by the APT Satellite Company Ltd.
of Hong Kong, which launched it as Apstar 2R. However, APT then leased it
to Loral Skynet, which changed its name to Telstar 10.

From its position at 76.5ºE, the Telstar 10 satellite can cover four continents
and more than 75 percent of the world's population, said Exus CEO Ike
Sutton. Exus has offices in Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and plans to
open others to develop business in emerging markets.

Sutton told SATELLITE TODAY that he sees a need for Internet and voice
services in emerging markets. Exus began as a provider of Inmarsat mobile
services but now he is ready to expand it to providing network services, he
said.

Both Globecomm Systems and NetSat Express are headquartered in
Hauppauge, N.Y.
