To all, look for MLNM to pop tomorrow. July is usually a weak month for biotech with things picking up in Aug as the big conferences appear on everyones radar screen.

Genes To Wyeth-Ayerst

Leverages Technology Platform to Drive Research Toward Drug Development

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., July 17 -- Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
(Nasdaq: MLNM) today announced that Wyeth-Ayerst Research, the principal
pharmaceutical research and development division of American Home Products
Corporation (NYSE: AHP), has accepted four novel genes implicated in central
nervous system diseases as part of the companies' collaboration in the area of
neurological and psychiatric disorders related to the central nervous system
(CNS). Since July 1996, Wyeth-Ayerst has accepted seven genes from Millennium
that are potential targets for CNS drug discovery.

The Millennium-Wyeth-Ayerst alliance focuses on the discovery and
development of targets and assays to identify small molecule drugs and
vaccines for the treatment and prevention of CNS disorders. The alliance
leverages the companies' complementary technologies, and includes drug-
