(Nasdaq: MLNM) today announced that Wyeth-Ayerst Research, the principal pharmaceutical research and development division of American Home Products Corporation (NYSE: AHP), has accepted four novel genes implicated in central nervous system diseases as part of the companies' collaboration in the area of neurological and psychiatric disorders related to the central nervous system (CNS). Since July 1996, Wyeth-Ayerst has accepted seven genes from Millennium that are potential targets for CNS drug discovery.
