Well, it's a quality of revenue thing. If a company isn't investing in it's own business and rather generating revenue elsewhere, well, that doesn't say good things about that company beyond it's accumen at taking lucrative equity positions in other people's businesses. There's nothing wrong with that, it's just not worth as much to investors when valuing the company. MSFT is probably a great mutual fund to own. It then though becomes a valuation question. -JCJ
