Perhaps it is different; but as it happens I would imagine I used TW from around 1994 until he released I/RT. I do not know about now, but I/RT then was an inferior product.

Okay, I kept a file of many of the e-mails we traded back and forth and it's easy to see in retrospect that it was difficult to get satisfactory answers from his support group. But when Linn finally stepped in and answered the questions he was more clear as to why or why not in response to bug reporting. These e-mails were in the late 1998 time frame, probably about the time I decided to forego the product permanently.

So it wasn't Linn, so much. I recall my issues in terms of support was based on what I considered to be poor support from his staff, when he was not available. The upshot of why I stopped using the program consisted of issues such as the following.

--Aside from Linn himself, poor support.
--Very bug ridden, or at least it was then.
--I recall emphasis was on Equity trading issues, and not so much for issues concerning Index or Futures trading.
--Cost/Benefit. Although I still use Macintosh the cost of running I/RT versus the purchase of a PC and running software from another provider is prohibitive. Using I/RT still requires a cost for a data provider so it's recurring annual cost vis-a-vie Tradestation (with a one time cost, for example) or QCharts (with zero software cost) added to the fact that we, as users, were effectively paying Bill to serve as his beta test group.

So it is well that you are happy with it; but for me I/RT was the killer. After I/RT I stopped using a Mac to trade.
