I assume that NEC will be a Qualcomm licensee but don't know if their current license extends to 3G. I hesitate to use the term WCDMA in re Isle of Man because they will actually probably be first to launch UMTS UTRA DS (standardized WCDMA).

I am pretty confident that anybody that manufactures infa or handsets for UMTS UTRA DS will have to have a Qualcomm license.
