sditto: I bought TXN in the 1960's - among my early stock purchases. The company has been through good and bad but always very much at the cutting edge of its technologies of choice. So I agree that TXN is a force to be reckoned with. Its specific problem is that up to now it has been behind the curve (like zero participation) in CDMA.

A problem yes, fatal, no.

And of course TXN uses ARMHY technology, as does Qualcomm as does Intel as does just about everyone who makes chips these days.

Again, DSP is flexible and powerful, but in a flat out race with the Q's ASICS with all the bells and whistles contained therein, the outcome is not so clear.

Will be fun to watch.

Best.

PS Texas Instruments is a king in DSP.
