I agree..ARMHY definitely has a chance..The FCC 911 requirement will help in that effort. SiRF has announced several months ago ..commitments from Nokia and Ericson to use their GPS(Location) technology. SiRF has also implemented a network centric approach enabling both data aided & autonomous location information based on ARM. Motorola is the only outsider in the top three,they were using SnapTracks solution. However, SnapTrack was recently purchased by QCOM for a smooth $Billion bucks. The relationship between Motorola and Qualcomm could be acrimonious due to CDMA
cat fights.
I think ARMHY deserves serious consideration as a Gorilla
for the MPU space for anything handheld.They are going to own it:)Lets hear it for strong MIPS/Weak Power...and Cheap!
