Can't answer in quantitative terms. That depends on too many variables.

Suggest you get the old spreadsheet out and start modeling.

My definition of "enough" is if half of my net worth invested for a safe 6% return will equal close to my present salary, with the other half of the net worth invested for high risk, high gain. I am 47 and am looking at 30+ years of retirement. If I were older, my definition of enough would be less.
How's that?
