Ow. No, I do not have a bottomless pit of spuds, but... With that in mind, here's my simple (very simple) rational for all it's worth. The 'tax effect' takes place every year. This year would be worse (and it was) due to scores of people booking huge gains. Q goes into a summer slump every year. (Both items were pointed out and questioned, and were unanswered.) With those two factors, lightening the share load was critical. They both came to pass, and then the additional pounding kicked in. The recovery usually begins in July, and this year it was a little late, a little slow, but it is coming. If anyone would have told me 6 months ago that Q would go below 100, 90, 80...I would have questioned their sanity. Not anymore. Now the only sanity I question is those who are waiting still to buy. The spuds are there, just like last year, loaded on the truck, waiting to be dumped on our laps, but I doubt it'll be anything like last year. I've been told for a long time that one can't time the market. I DO NOT time my core account; it is separate from the 'play spuds'. I've been really lucky, really blessed, and really diligent. Well, two out of three ain't bad. It stinks to be waiting (I've been there many times), but, the reward is so sweet when it hits. Of course you could always teach me a thing or two, and I know I'm not telling you anything you probably don't already know, it just helps me to remind myself. Thanks. Not to mention all the scores of high IQ's that help around here, past and present, which have served myself and countless others who lurk, and/or contribute. To them goes any honor or glory. I'm just a simple hack. Q rocks, just a matter of time...
