FUD = Fear Uncertainty & Doubt

some folks use deceit in place of doubt, but the bottom line is it means someone is intentionally trying to scare folks with some sort of scary analysis based on their intentional lies & half truths.

I'm sure QCOM could be used as the poster child of stocks that were battered by FUD.
