I assume by what you said "not to underestimate INTC" that should qcom want to stay in the Production of Asics in the future,they will get some competition from INTC and TXN.However As I stated before,I think INTC and TXN are about 10 years behind in development of CDMA chipsets.I also Know they are both very big FAB houses and are putting a lot of money and effort to catch up.Since I am not a techie,Some one like engineer would be able to give a better analysis of when the above two could pose a serious competitive threat to Qcom's Asics market share.I understand its the software stack in CDMA asics that makes it difficult and quite complicated.
