I am sorry MSB- if SI died tomorrow I wouldn't be that upset. I am certainly not upset by the deaths of people who are not close to me and I prefer to help people whom I wish to help- not people generically. And most of the people on SI I frankly dislike. Please do not use my name again.

MSB,

I came not out of curiosity, but out of courtesy, for you see, I am not filled with some strange dislike of people I don't even know. I find it amazing that you would speak of your intense hatred for me, tell me that you have refused to read my thread or my posts for years when I haven't a clue what I ever did to you, tell us how you wouldn't ever help most of us, and yet expect to find a sympathetic ear for your request.

I am reeling with disbelief.
But it certainly is interesting to know how you feel.

I believe there is a thread set up already dealing with the issue of a memorial. I liked Monica, I gave what I think was a generous amount to her sister because I believed it was the right thing to do, and I will continue to do what I believe is right. But to come here and be told in a public forum how someone hates me has left me feeling quite unwilling to be involved in anything.
I am sure your heart is in the right place- what a shame you couldn't have shown the same generosity of spirit toward us.

I think that some sort of "community chest" would not be a bad idea, but it all depends on the willingness of people to participate, and it is awkward for various reasons. Right now, I am following up on the matter of memorializing Edwarda, and therefore am not in a position to push such an undertaking, but I might help if any substantial sentiment is shown by others on SI. I will keep an eye out, and perhaps mull it over further myself........
