oh my. You are really mixing apples and oranges- but we also see now what you want to equate with homosexuality. You really need to study this. Pedophiles (who were abused) and wife abusers are enraged men. Pedophiles, who were abused, were violated when young and carry intense fear and anger into adulthood, as well as shame. The theory is that they are afraid of adult relationships, and find children to be non- threatening, as well as being tools to re-enact what happened to them. Pedophiles are similar to homosexuals only in that it is EXTREMELY difficult to change their fantasies. That is why pedophiles are the most likely criminal to resist treatment and why the recidivism rate is so high. I wouldn't be surprised if they find a genetic component in this, which is the only similarity I see with homosexuality. Wife abusers - according to the literature- are generally men who are not in contact with their emotions. They may also be abusers of alcohol- which releases inhibited emotions, like anger. They focus their anger on their wives, frequently repeating an emotional pattern they saw acted out in childhood. This is a BEHAVIOR, and not an identity- ergo wife abusers can be changed. Both of these types of people commit CRIMES. They are dangerous. Being Homosexual is not a crime (or is it in your mind?)- so even if it were true (which it does not appear to be) that homosexual parents raised homosexual children- WHY would we care? Heterosexual parents raise a lot of heterosexual children. Look at what you want to equate homosexuality to! And I say again I really, really hope you (and Michael) NEVER deal with a gay child. If it took gay parents to raise gay children heterosexual people wouldn't have gay children, now would they? And oddly enough gay parents seem to have gay children at the same rate as the straight population. Hmmmmm.... edit- excuse me- I was just reminded that in at least one study gay parents appear to raise gay children at a rate less than the general population.
