Having read all your exchanges with chaz the one thing that stood out was this.

<Proprietary. Not part of OUR standard. Does not meet UMTS standards and is being proposed by an entity not part
of 3GPP>

The whole thing with ITU and ETSI and 3GPP is a joke. Its like the OLD MEN CLUB only. They have a defacto standard set with specs that no one has achieved so far but refuse to standardize a current existing technology 1x and HDR that can deliver today at much higher rates and maybe even beat WCDMA once fully developed. The net result is every body Must pay through the nose on spectrum cost, infra structure cost,R&D expenses to get WCDMA working at ITU specs.

So they will make it as difficult as possible to accept an existing technology because they had no part in it and try and line the pockets of the group of companies who in return I suspect line their pockets.

At the end of the day,I as a costumer get to pay every bodies cost.
