Oh I misread the question. I just saw that after people were wary- the great finds then were found out to be bad... hmmm. x-rays was a good one- I can remember looking down through this machine thing and seeing the bones of my little feet at the shoe store. How about antibiotics- something that was a miracle but wasn't used with care and now that people have overused them, they are causing bacteria to mutate into horrible new forms we can't fight. Breast implants! IUD's!
