Two mediocre plans are still mediocre.

If the deal is structured so that ATHM benefits only to the extent that a percent of the international revenue trickles to ATHM, then the up side long term prospects for ATHM's stock price have fundamentally changed for the negative. However, with Bell at the helm and regulators circling, I think it was unrealistic to think that ATHM could pull off world domination in the BB market place. Therefore, a partnership with Chello makes sense.

Also, I have more faith in Chello's management team, of which I know nothing, than ATHM's team. ATHM will have enough to do handling the deployment of interactive TV in N. America.

This latest fiasco follows in the continued failed Silicon Quiche style of management that has been the hallmark of this pseudo company.

TJ is a hokie, and Bell is a Harvard educated documentary filmmaker who lives in Boston. Not exactly what I would call representative of Silicon Valley.
