ATHM shareholders are the lucky ones. They will be given shares in this new company!"

Don't hold your breath.

Everything ATHM does comes out falling flat, I doubt it will be any different this time.

ATHM has no obligation to spin off shares to the shareholders, and I'd personally be surprised if they do. If they do they are giving away their ownership. In the long run that would be even more of a disaster.

If ExciteChello is counted as part of ATHM as ATHM is counted as part of T then all we have here is a non-diluting form of a merger. Thats ok by me as I see both big positives balanced with some concerns.

If ExciteChello is a seperate entity completely from ATHM its a different story. I've promised myself I'll hold ATHM for eternity or until they change the fundamental nature of the company. Buying Excite was not even enough of a change. Giving up on direct control of international expansion has me wondering.
