Mike - I recently started my own consulting business after having worked for a large aerospace company for 21 years (I volunteered for layoff as I could see the company was in deep trouble).

So, I figured I better get a cell phone that would travel well - roam freely without extra charges and work almost anywhere - and it appeared the AT&T One Rate plan and a phone with 2 digital frequency bands and 1 analog band was the best for these purposes. I figured as long as I was getting a phone, it might as well be web enabled, so I got the PocketNet service and a web ready phone. I had 2 choices for phones, the Mitsubishi and an Ericsson. The Mitsubishi won out because its screen is twice as big - even though it cost $200 vs $100 for the Ericsson.

WAP shouldn't cost anything to use because, until the phones get more capable, it's about the only way to operate on the web.
