Doc,

I am not bashing, I am tiring of licking wounds from this stock. Your comment is in question.

But when negative press no longer affects stock price, you know you have hit the bottom.

Do you believe this about ATHM today? With news like this and the 'potential' it holds shouldn't we be up very big, irrespective of the market??? Hence my open-minded, cautious skepticism. I am all for the increased size and global coverage but I want to see the chips fall on the balance scale and tip it to the positive. There is still a lot of negative presure sitting on this stock. I've been away for a while, I come back and see AOL @63 yesterday. That to me is yesterdays optimism, but it sure carries weight in the press.

Please, give me your good reasons to be ecstatic about ATHM. I have been for a year, but in spite of all the 'good' news it goes nowhere. T, through Malone is behind ownership of UPC and hence I don't see the deal as bad for ATHM. Portland is over. CV suit is just a crazy inlaw blip. Numbers will start to reach critical mass. BB is getting more and more attention. Etc., etc., etc.

And we still sit and flounder.

I'm all ears, enlighten me.

You have failed to identify from where the added value of this deal comes. @Home is being diluted out of existence. Indeed, there is no "@Home" brand. The company is being converted into some gawdawful conglomerate. Management has a page of synergies. The claims there are hollow. In fact, they're out-of-hand refutable. Please tell me how any value accrues to ATHM.
