John G: OK. Now on to Europe ! The Trade Rep seems to be effective when focused. Now the focus needs to be on opening Europe to CDMA, Qualcomm and US wireless companies associated with CDMA.

This not only helps the US but as you have pointed out clearly, European consumers.

Best.

Chaz

Note: Tilt. Seems "negotiations continue". Seems a bit like China, no?

OT: JohnG, the EU has been pushing Japan on NTT's interconnection rates too.
See, e-topics.com

but have been letting the U.S. take the lead on this issue and take most of the flack and the heat too. The Japanese business community wants the fees lowered too, after all who do you think pays those high fees? Don't let anyone tell you this is a case of the U.S. bullying Japan. I find it ironic is the U.S. Government that has to lobby Japan for lower rates and fees that benefit Japans businesses and consumers.
