<<For one, it is not guaranteed that Qualcomm will hold an 80 percent market share because there are different versions of CDMA, not all of which are based on Qualcomm intellectual property.>>

Wrong!! Courts and patent offices in Japan, the US and Europe have decided that all CDMA is CDMA and all 3G CDMA is also CDMA and QCOM owns the patents. NOK ERICY NTT law suit in Japan was just thrown out yesterday. Where do they get these ignorant flunkies?

Kent: The brilliance of analysts and their attention to detail is awesome:

"And some analysts predict that China and South Korea eventually will embrace CDMA. When that happens, Qualcomm will prove a major beneficiary.

'Qualcomm still holds the keys to the kingdom on CDMA, at least for the short term,' Prohm says. But it's unlikely the stock price will reach the roller-coaster highs it enjoyed last year."

Hey South Korea eventually will embrace CDMA.

And, the Q holds the keys on CDMA, at least for the short term.

The careful precise use of language and attention to time frame definition is particularly impressive, no?

All this is comforting to know the knowledge and analytical talent (such as Prohm's) that informs the public.

Best.
