cuf,

<< On top of that, I seriously doubt that the power supply sector, which is actually quite mature, is growing at a fast enough rate to be of interest to a Gorilla gamer.>>

That was my impression of PWER at first, too. Then I read the Gilder/Huber/Mills PowerCosm report on it. They're predicting great things for little ol' power supplies and think PWER is in the catbird seat to capitalized on the trend.

The stock's done well all year as you saw on the chart, but really took off in mid-June on the second day of the PowerCosm conference. Apparently the institutional investors liked what they heard. The stock also took a big pop after a guest on Wall Street Week touted it extensively. Big gap up on the following Monday but the gap soon filled and the progress resumed.

I'm not seeing any pongid characteristics either, but the Gilder gang is as positive on PWER as they were on UNPH in July 98. I wouldn't mind if lightning struck twice and PWER becomes a king like JDSU.

The report does not exist in pdf but I bet tb would be willing to type a few pages of it into a post.

EDIT: I now see pchip has told you more about PWER than you ever would want to know. Oh, well.
