RICHMOND, Calif., Jul 18, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Keyspan, a leading manufacturer of personal computer connectivity products, is now shipping its Keyspan FireWire Cards. These cards add high speed FireWire (IEEE 1394) capability to a Mac or PC, making it simple to connect to DV camcorders, disk drives, scanners, and other FireWire devices. Available now through leading resellers and catalogs, the cards are bundled with video editing software and a 6 pin to 4 pin FireWire cable.

"Our FireWire products distinguish themselves in two ways," stated Mike Ridenhour, Keyspan's president. "First, the unique port configuration of our PCI card provides an optional internal FireWire port. Second, our software bundle includes video editing software as well as QuickTime Pro."

For Macintosh, a Power Mac with PCI slot running Mac OS 8.6 or higher is required, while a G3 processor is recommended for video capture and editing. This product has an MSRP of $89.
