Chic - RE: "Re: Guess what was delayed again

What? Itanium?"

Damn, you smart!

"Today, the company said that it would soon begin shipments of its Intel® Itaniumâ„¢ processor for systems used by IT end-users in pilot installations, and that the company now expects to begin recording revenue for Itanium processor shipments during the fourth quarter, rather than the third."

The top-line numbers ($8.3B rev.) are better than most analysts predicted, and most of this growth coming from the core micorprocessor group (IAGR Revenue from 6.58M in Q1 to 6.95M in Q2).

Forecast is also better than expected:

** The company expects revenue for the third quarter of 2000 to be up from second quarter
revenue of $8.3 billion.

** The company expects gross margin percentage for the third quarter to be approximately
63 to 64 percent.

Wall Street should like these numbers.

Chic,

re: Intel's numbers.

What a bunch of baloney:

""Adjusted for this distributor deferral, IAG revenues would be approximately $6,760 million in Q2 2000, $6,650 million in Q1 2000 and $5,850 million in Q2 1999. ""

Intel increased sales by $100M in iabg.

And this reflects increased flash shipments.

I would say its pretty pitifull.

But the spin will be wonderfull.

regards,

Kash
