John-

The difference between the 2 threads is instructive. On the Intel thread, you see very little AMD bashing except when they come over and start bashing Intel, then Intelabees defend themselves. On the AMD thread, on the other hand, the cheerleaders sit around bashing Intel even when Paul, Elmer etc have not put in an appearance.
When I first started lurking on SI, one of Paul's posts was to the effect that AMDroids were more interested in destroying Intel than doing anything positive for AMD. I did not believe it then, but I do now. In spite of AMD's considerable achievements over the last year, the amount of spite and hostility on the AMD thread has, if anything, increased. Hard to believe.

John, Jim
I thought you all were waiting for results so I posted the 1st earnings headline from bloomberg terminal. Ok, that is not appreciated and it is fine with me. Let me clarify the point about intel haters since I am obviously one of them :-)). For me good share is different from bad share only by the rate of return. Intel maybe a great company but if I think that the price is not justified or it does not fit in my portfolio then.......
on another hand on amd threads (moderated included) you find posts about bias and how hype does not do anyone any good and different opinions are welcome - no need to point out the difference.

BTW thank you for posting about me for the last 2 years - always enjoyed reading those.
