I hear HotMail can be picked up from Outlook (figures MSFT would make it work with Outlook).

Again I could not find a reference to POP3/SMTP access at hotmail.com

I was told that when you set up Outlook with the wizard, it asks you if you have a HotMail account and then it sets up Outlook to pick up your mail from HotMail. I don't know if they use POP3 or what they use.

I used to use SI Mail which will send a notification to another email service or a pager when you receive mail. It was nice, because I'd only have to check one mail service. But then you know how slow SI servers are.....I couldn't take it anymore.
