Just last winter many dot-coms pursued deals using their shares as the chips in the game. But as investors headed south, so to did the value — and promise — of the deals.

Thanks for the article, brownu. But honestly, don't you get weary of the tired (and inappropriate) comparison of companies like JDSU and SDLI to DrKoop.com?
