Vinnie,

I'm not upset, and I don't have an "attitude".

I just wasn't enjoying the thread anymore or my part in it-- the obscenities, personal insults, offensive jokes are demeaning to all. When I felt as if today was starting off the same way I decided who needs it.
So I took the day off from the thread.

It would be very nice if "the discussion remained courteous and respectful".

The important thing is that the discussion remains courteous and respectful.

Oh, absolutely. And we should all remain courteous and respectful even when others lapse into juvenalia, should we not? After all, a person who answers a juvenile assault with a juvenile defense is no better than the assailant, and does as much to lower the lofty tone that we all esteem so highly.

Don't you agree?

In the interest of courteous and respectful discussion, I courteously and respectfully request that you retire to conference with The Godfather, who seems to enjoy submitting to your will, and wash his mouth with soap, or introduce a belt to his posterior, or take whatever other steps are required to bring his discourse up to our standards of courtesy and respectfulness.

An enema might be useful, as his posts appear to emanate from the orifice cleansed by such devices. He would probably enjoy that as well, which is a good thing: there is no reason why discipline should not be pleasurable.
