Dan, I agree 100%

the NASD had a huge 40% run in the last 6 weeks
needs time to consolidate; back and fill for a while

earnings overall have been decent so far
but I'd say 80-90% are falling even after "meeting or beating"
some that have come in line have fallen 10-20-30% on the report
there is a message in that
we have a few more weeks of heavy reporting to go
then into the normal Aug slowdown
and some more economic reports, then the Fed again

imo it is the time to back off
take many of the terrific gains we have made recently (in our own portfolios and the Z)
and go enjoy the rest of the summer

we have 23 weeks left this year to trade
nothing wrong with sitting back for a few days and maybe even catch a tuna or two
