One thing about cmrc, this last february or so they changed the financial structure into a "holding company" with part ownership of the partners in the exchange. Also all the shares became available in the float. They also use equity as a means for signing up new anchor tenants for cmrc, all of which sound like excellent long term strategies but make the stock impossible to figure out, since there is always this "fear of dilution" etc.

The thing is, ariba has a standard software model which sells a million $$ package and then services etc. So it LOOKS like ariba is really hot but the revenue is all up-front, unless they innovate etc, whereas with cmrc and the transaction stream, money keeps flowing until the next new paradigm. Thats why I like cmrc.

BTW somebody here likes ifmx - it looks like the new ceo is focussing in b2bi which is really hot, maybe ifmx will do a sybase and finally turn around...
The key is that every dot-com--whether it's a new company or one transforming its business--needs data integration,
data management. That's not simple to provide.
