I couldn't agree more with you about skepticism and moral relativism. And it seems as if healthy skepticism these days has evolved into complete cynicism.

It is interesting that the same concept led me to be a liberal. In my case I felt that truth, or TRUTH! could not be an arbitrary set of values no matter how old or how many adherents, but a verifiable and gestalt concept which led me to science and in turn to atheism and distrust of authority.
